Tantramar Area About the Tantramar Area The Tantramar Area is located in the southeastern part of New Brunswick. It gets its name from the famous Tantramar Marsh, a tidal salt marsh around the Bay of Fundy. The Tantramar Area includes the communities of Aulac, Bayfield, Botsford, Cape Spear, Cape Tormentine, Dorchester, Little Shemogue, Melrose, Midgic, Murray Corner, Point de Bute, Port Elgin Sackville, Timber River, Upper Cape, and Westmorland; and the Fort Folly First Nation.
