Saint John Sexual Health Centre

Horizon’s Saint John Sexual Health Centre is located within the Teen Resource Centre and is made up of a team that includes nurse practitioners, a registered nurse, a licensed practical nurse, and administrative staff.

The team focuses on promoting healthy sexual attitudes and responsible sexual behaviour among adolescents and adults of all ages and genders. Services include but are not limited to:

• Sexual health counselling
• Onsite sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment (non-nominal testing available)
• Onsite blood borne infection testing (non-nominal and anonymous HIV testing available)
• Bladder infections treatment
• Prescription birth control
• PrEP therapy for HIV prophylaxis (for people who are at high risk of getting HIV)
• Genital wart treatment
• Erectile dysfunction consultations
• Premature ejaculation consultations
• Free condoms
• Emergency contraception (Plan B)
• Pregnancy testing
• Pregnancy options counselling & services
• Vaccination (Gardasil 9, Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B)
• Anonymous HIV testing

Monday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (subject to change)

Closed on weekends and holidays.

All visits are by appointment only.

Other Notes

Patients who wish to review results can do so by phone Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday between the hours of 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. Health care providers will always follow up by phone with clients who have abnormal results.
