NB Antimicrobial Treatment Guidelines for Common Infections These guidelines have been developed by the NB Provincial Health Authorities Anti-infective Stewardship Committee (ASC) (a sub-committee of the Provincial Drugs and Therapeutics Committee). Local antibiotic resistance patterns and input from local infectious disease specialists, medical microbiologists, pharmacists and other physician specialists was considered in their development. These clinical guidelines provide general recommendations for appropriate antibiotic use in specific infectious diseases and are not a substitute for clinical judgement. Click here to access the guidelines on the Horizon Firstline Antimicrobial Stewardship App. You can also download the Horizon Firstline App to your device through the App Store or Google Play by searching “Firstline Clinical Decisions.” Once downloaded, select “Horizon” from “Choose Your Location” and then input your work area and user type.
