Estimated Emergency Department Wait Times

If you or someone in your care has an urgent medical condition or is experiencing a health crisis, call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest Emergency Department immediately.

Horizon Health Network’s estimated Emergency Department (ED) wait times are provided for general information only.

All Canadian health care facilities use the Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) tool to determine the seriousness of a person’s illness or injury, and care for them appropriately, and the most critical are cared for first.

People may arrive after you but be seen first because their health is at greater risk. The triage system allows us to treat all patients in a safe time frame for their conditions.

The estimated Emergency Department (ED) wait times for Horizon’s hospitals are currently unavailable to allow us to complete maintenance to make the estimated wait time information as accurate as possible. We hope to share the estimated ED wait times again in early 2024.

When you’re unwell, choose the best option to treat your symptoms.

Life-threatening Emergencies
