Student Nurse Advancement Pledge

Horizon’s Student Nurse Advancement Pledge (SNAP) provides BScN/BN and Practical Nursing students with a seamless transition from student to nurse. Whether you are in your first year or are a Graduate Nurse, we will guarantee your employment with Horizon and support your career advancement throughout your education and beyond.

Who is Eligible?

Guaranteed employment is offered to all BScN/BN and Practical Nursing students and grads from any recognized college or university across Canada.

What is the Hiring Process?

After submitting your application, a member of our Talent Acquisition Team will be in touch for a Get to know YOU call. During this call you will discuss your interests and preferences so we can find the best placement for you.

If you already have a relationship with Horizon through student employment or education placement, there is no interview required. For those who are new to Horizon, an interview with one of our Nurse Managers will be arranged to better understand your skills and experience.

Once these discussions are completed and a placement has been determined, you will receive an offer letter.

*All Undergraduate Nurse Employee offer letters come with a guaranteed offer of employment upon successful graduation.

Horizon can offer numerous career paths in a number of specialty areas. We have full-time, part-time, and casual opportunities in acute and community settings such as regional and community hospitals, community health centres, clinics, Public Health, and addiction and mental health services.
