Violence and aggression toward staff We ask anyone who visits our facilities to be respectful to our staff, who are working hard to keep people safe and healthy. Please be kind to your health care providers. They are here to help you and require your cooperation, patience and support to be able to do so. Horizon is committed to the prevention of workplace violence and takes every reasonable precaution to provide a safe, secure and violence-free work environment. Staff are provided with a number of tools, supports and resources through Horizon’s Workplace Violence Prevention program. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we protect the safety of our patients, clients, staff, and communities. Respecting the privacy of our patient and staff We are committed to ensuring all of our care environments respect patient, client, visitor, employee and non-employee privacy, dignity and confidentiality. To ensure the privacy of our patients and staff is protected, staff and patients are asked to avoid going to a Horizon hospital and health care facility unless they have a legitimate health-related or work-related reason to be there. No Recording Without Consent When you take a photo, video or audio recording in a health care environment, you could be capturing somebody else’s private information. As a visitor to one of our facilities or as a health care provider, you have the right to your privacy – and we ask you to respect that right of others. What does this mean? Posting photos or videos on social media about your visit or other patients could be an invasion of privacy. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we protect the safety of our patients, clients, staff, and communities. Please respect the privacy of others and remember: no recording without consent.
