Dr. Alaa Al Sharief graduated from medical school from Aden University, Yemen in 1998. After finishing his family medicine residency at Dalhousie University in 2003, Dr. Al Sharief worked as a family and emergency room physician in Fredericton until 2010 when he began working full time in the Emergency Department at Horizon’s Upper River Valley Hospital.

Dr. Al Sharief enjoys teaching medical students and residents, and when he’s not working enjoys the trails on his mountain bike close to his home.
