Emergency Department at Horizon’s Sackville Memorial Hospital temporarily closed this weekend

SACKVILLE – Due to a nursing shortage the Emergency Department at Horizon’s Sackville Memorial Hospital will be temporarily closed for the entire weekend.

The Emergency Department will close on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 4 p.m. and reopen Monday, April 18, 2022 at 8 a.m.

The Emergency Department will not be seeing patients and clients during the temporary closure and ambulances will be diverted to other hospitals.

All patients and clients requiring urgent medical care will need to seek treatment at another hospital.

As always, people experiencing a medical emergency should call 911. Additionally, people with non-urgent medical needs can call Tele-Care 811 if they have any questions about the type of medical attention they require, or book a virtual appointment through eVisitNB.

Horizon is committed to ensuring safe and quality care for our patients and clients, and we apologize for any inconvenience this temporary closure may cause.
