Horizon’s Charlotte County Collaborative Wellness Centre in St. Stephen is offering an additional day of service at its open access clinic

(ST. STEPHEN) – Beginning February 11, Horizon is providing an open-access clinic for non-urgent medical issues at the Charlotte County Collaborative Wellness Centre in St. Stephen, as part of a two-month pilot period. The clinic is located on the third floor of the Charlotte County Hospital, and will run one day a week, alternating Tuesdays, and Fridays.

Horizon is committed to improving access to primary care in our communities and the addition of these same-day appointments will help ensure more patients can receive the care they need. This initiative aims to improve access to care, notably for those who have recently had a departing primary care provider by providing care in the interim and reduce ER visits for non-urgent cases.

Patients can book same-day appointments by calling 506-465-4473 the afternoon before, after 12 p.m. (noon) or the morning of the clinic day.

Services are available to both patients who have a primary care provider and those who do not based on specific eligibility criteria.

Once all appointments are filled, callers will receive a message that the clinic is full for the day with instructions to call again when the clinic reopens.
