Dr. Roxanne Elizabeth MacKnight Clinical Department HeadDepartment of Family MedicineMiramichi AreaCCFP, FCFP Dr. Roxanne MacKnight has been a practicing family medicine physician in Miramichi for over 25 years and is a Fellow of the College of Family Physicians of Canada. Her practice has included general family medicine, obstetrics and maternity care, emergency medicine, inpatient care and prison medicine. She is the past president of the New Brunswick College of Family Physicians. She has been involved in the College of Family Physicians of Canada as a board member and as the chair of the committee for Child and Adolescent Health. Dr. MacKnight has served on several committees at Horizon’s Miramichi Regional Hospital and has been involved in medical education for students and residents from Dalhousie, Memorial and Sherbrooke Universities. She is currently the student affairs representative for Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick in Miramichi. In her free time, Roxanne enjoys outdoor adventures with her family including hiking, skiing, kayaking and biking. She also dabbles in art and photography. Prior to the pandemic, she enjoyed world travel and hopes to resume this hobby some day.
