Some Restrictions Apply There are some restrictions using wireless Internet and devices around life-critical equipment. Do not plug any wireless devices into the red-coloured outlets as these outlets ensure adequate power to critical equipment during a power interruption. There are some bandwidth limits on the wireless service to ensure equal access for all patients. How to Connect To access the patient and family wireless network: Open your wireless connection settings to see available wireless networks. Select ‘Wifi – Patients’ and click ‘Connect’ (some facilities may have additional numbers after ‘Wifi – Patients’). Open your web browser. After a few seconds, you will see an initial language page to ensure that the login instructions are provided in your language of choice (English or French). Note: If a login prompt does not happen, type in an address other than www.google.com such as www.cbc.ca. Review and accept the Terms and Conditions for the use of ‘Wifi – Patients’. Click the ‘Connect Me’ and redirect to the home page.
