La Dre Pamela Jarrett, MD, FRCPC, FACP, occupe actuellement les postes de gériatre au sein du Réseau de santé Horizon à Saint John, au Nouveau-Brunswick, et de professeure agrégée de médecine dans le cadre du programme de l’Université Dalhousie offert au Nouveau-Brunswick. Tout au long de sa carrière, elle a pris part à des projets de recherche clinique. Ses travaux de recherche sont actuellement soutenus par une bourse de recherche clinique de la Fondation de la recherche en santé du Nouveau-Brunswick. Elle occupe le rôle de chercheuse principale ou de co-chercheuse principale pour diverses subventions de recherche du projet pilote sur la santé des aînés au Nouveau-Brunswick. Elle fait également partie des chercheurs du Consortium canadien en neurodégénérescence associée au vieillissement et collabore beaucoup avec de nombreux chercheurs en matière de vieillissement sur la scène nationale et internationale. En matière de recherche, elle s’intéresse notamment à la démence (prévention et gestion), aux transitions dans la prestation de soins, à la fragilité, aux chutes et aux fractures de la hanche qui y sont associées et à l’utilisation de médicaments chez les adultes plus âgés.
