Horizon Health Network Recruitment Process Horizon Health Network (Horizon)’s formal recruitment process ensures all applications are collected and stored securely. All applications are submitted via our Job Bank or Careers inbox (Careers@HorizonNB.ca). Horizon does not collect paper copy resumes. Horizon records all relevant recruitment information in our applicant tracking system. Each applicant has a documented file that is accessible only by Horizon’s Human Resources team. For questions or technical support, please contact the Talent Acquisition team by emailing Careers@HorizonNB.ca Role of the Hiring Manager While the recruitment and selection process may differ from role to role and based on the needs of the organization, it is required for each Hiring Manager to receive a hiring package with applications after the closing date for each job competition. The Hiring Manager screens the internal and external hiring packages and initiates the selection process. It is important to note that, if the position is unionized, Horizon and the Hiring Managers must follow the collective agreement language of the posted position. This means a position can be awarded internally without any requirement to consider external candidates. Assessments Depending on the role, applicants may undergo an assessment of their skills or knowledge in a specific area. Examples of testing that Horizon uses in its recruitment process are language competency, clerical skills assessment, and behavioural assessment tools. Assessments are used by the Hiring Manager in the selection process. Interviews An applicant selected for an interview will be notified via email or phone. The Hiring Manager is responsible to coordinate the interview process. The interview panel consists of another member of the department and/or a member of the Human Resources team. Horizon uses a variety of interview type questions depending on the role. Examples of question types include behavioural, competency, situation, skill-based and case study questions. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, almost all interviews are now virtual through Microsoft Teams. If your interview will be conducted in person, you will be advised as such.
