Temporary change in hours of operation at Horizon’s Sussex Health Centre Emergency Department this weekend

SUSSEX – Due to a nursing shortage, the Emergency Department at Horizon’s Sussex Health Centre (SHC) is closing early tomorrow, Saturday, July 2, at 5 p.m.

The Emergency Department will reopen Sunday, July 3 at 7:30 a.m.

The Emergency Department will not be seeing patients and clients during the temporary closure and ambulances will be diverted to other hospitals.

All patients and clients requiring urgent medical care will need to seek treatment at another hospital.

As always, people experiencing a medical emergency should call 911. Additionally, people with non-urgent medical needs can call Tele-Care 811 if they have any questions about the type of medical attention they require, or book a virtual appointment through eVisitNB.

Horizon is committed to ensuring safe and quality care for our patients and clients, and we apologize for any inconvenience this temporary closure may cause.
