Oromocto Public Hospital Emergency Department temporarily closed Dec. 24-26

(OROMOCTO)  Due a shortage of physician coverage, Horizon wishes to advise the public that the emergency department (ED) at Horizon’s Oromocto Public Hospital (OPH) will be temporarily closed on the following dates:

  • Saturday, Dec. 24, 2022
  • Sunday, Dec. 25, 2022

Emergency care will not be offered on any of these dates, and all patients requiring medical care outside service hours will need to seek treatment at another hospital or by another health care provider.

Remember: there are options for receiving non-urgent care – including your primary care provider, pharmacist, after-hours clinics, virtual care or Tele-Care 811. To help choose the best option for your care, visit sowhywait.ca. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911.
