The Queens North Community Health Centre (QNCHC) is a facility that provides primary health care services, illness/injury prevention, chronic disease management and community development services, using a population health promotion approach. QNCHC is made up of a team of health care professionals who are all about teamwork, collaborative practice, community participation, and patient-centred care. The team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, dietitians, health promoters, counselors and other health care providers.

The Queens North Community Health Centre offers a range of health services, including scheduled and unscheduled appointments with a physician or nurse practitioner, as well as a wide range of diagnostic and support services from the health care team.

  • Taste Buds – introducing children and their parents to healthy foods
  • CHEER – a physical activity and health promotion program designed to engage children in the pleasures and benefits of physical activity and healthy living

  • Harvest Fest – community event promoting healthy lifestyles and CHC/Community programs and services

  • Diabetic information sessions – now using education as per diabetic mapping

  • Resistance band training – to help people improve their strength and muscle tone

Hours of Operation

Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and holidays, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Physician coverage varies. Primary care practice hours vary Monday through Saturday.

Walk-in patients are always welcome.
