What role will community leaders, businesses, residents, etc. play in the development of Family Health Teams?

The Family Health Team model provides flexibility, allowing clinics to be developed and designed to best meet the needs of diverse communities. We understand that an approach that works well in one area may not be the best fit in a different region. Over the coming months, the Horizon team will work closely with communities to provide opportunities for consultation and feedback. We look forward to engaging with our community partners to co-create Family Health Teams that best serve local populations.

In the meantime, communities can always play a role in supporting Horizon’s recruitment efforts. We know that New Brunswickers know their communities best, and we welcome collaboration in attracting future health care workers to support Family Health Teams.
