Temporary closure of Moncton inpatient detox services

June 30, 2023

MONCTON – Due to an ongoing shortage of available nursing staff, Horizon wishes to inform the public that inpatient addiction treatment (detox) services will be temporarily unavailable at our Moncton facility – located at 125 Mapleton Rd. – beginning Monday, July 3.

Other services provided at this location, such as opioid replacement therapy and all outpatient services – including outpatient alcohol withdrawal management services – will remain in place.

During this temporary closure, patients/clients will be redirected to appropriate services as required, including inpatient detox centres in other areas of Horizon.

We are committed to reopening the Moncton inpatient detox unit later this summer – as soon as we are safely able to do so – and regret any inconvenience this may cause.

Clients with questions about this change may call Moncton Addiction Services at 506-856-2333.
