Miramichi Sexual Health Clinic

Sexual health is an important aspect of the overall health and well-being of New Brunswickers throughout their lifespan.

The Miramichi Sexual Health Clinic, operates out of the Chatham Health Centre  and is made up of a team that includes a nurse practitioner, sexual health nurse and administrative support. The clinic focuses on promoting healthy sexual attitudes and responsible sexual behaviour among adolescents and adults of all ages and genders.

Our services include but are not limited to:

• Anonymous HIV testing
• Sexual health counselling
• Healthy relationships
• Safer-sex practices
• Onsite sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment (non-nominal testing available)
• Onsite blood borne infection testing (non-nominal and anonymous HIV testing available)
• Birth control
• Information & prescriptions
• Free condoms
• Emergency contraception (Plan B)
• Pregnancy testing
• Pregnancy options counselling & support
• Cervical screening (PAP test)
• Physical exam and treatment as required
• Referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers

Patients are seen for scheduled appointments and unscheduled appointments on a call-ahead basis.

High school students can also access their onsite school clinics at the following schools: James M. Hill Memorial High School (Miramichi), Miramichi Valley High School (Miramichi), Carrefour Beausoleil (Miramichi), North and South Esk Regional High School (Sunny Corner), École Étoile de L’Acadie (Nouvelle-Arcadie), Centre scolaire communautaire La Fontaine (Neguac), Blackville School, École régionale de Baie-Sainte-Anne, and École René-Chouinard (Lagacéville).
