Miramichi Health Centre

The Miramichi Health Centre is made up of a team of health care professionals that includes a physician, nurse practitioner(s), a registered nurse and administrative support.

The centre focuses on health care, health promotion and disease prevention initiatives and offers a range of health services including management of acute and chronic illnesses, smoking cessation counseling, routine injections and immunizations, blood pressure monitoring and wound care.

The centre also provides preventive health services for well-woman and well-baby examinations. Patients are seen for scheduled appointments and unscheduled appointments on a call-ahead basis.

The centre provides:

• Blood pressure monitoring
• Diabetic nurse (monthly)
• Routine injections and immunizations
• Smoking cessation (Ottawa model)
• Sutures and dressing changes
• Well-baby examinations
• Well-woman examinations

Hours of Operation

Monday to Friday: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 4 p.m.

Closed on weekends and holidays.

Appointments are encouraged.
