Uday Praful Kundap is a Clinical Research Scientist at Horizon Health Network, with a research portfolio spanning oncology, neuroscience, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). He has demonstrated expertise in real-world evidence study design, health system improvement research, and evaluation of patient journeys and treatment pathways, including analyses of healthcare resource utilization, hospital economic impact, cost outcomes, and disease burden.

Uday is a pharmacy graduate with a PhD in Neuropharmacology and Toxicology, with formal training in clinical research and a proven ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams. He brings over five years of combined experience as a Clinical Research Scientist and Manager across multiple research organizations, with strengths in scientific leadership, evidence synthesis, and effective decision-making, supported by strong written and verbal communication skills.

During his doctoral and post-doctoral training, he received approximately CAD $145,000 in competitive research funding from the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS) and the Malaysian Ministry of Health and Innovation. Uday has authored and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed original research publications, contributing to both pre-clinical and clinical research domains.
