Mike Walton

Michael (Mike) Walton is the President and CEO of Lantic, a Canadian owned and operated natural sweetener company based in Montreal. He is responsible for the overall performance of the business, leading a team as they execute their vision of being a great organization to partner with, work for and invest in.

His 40-year professional journey with Lantic began when he was a part-time student in the Saint John sugar refinery. Over the years, he held various progressive roles within operations, supply chain, sales, marketing ,and general management, gaining  a deep understanding for the complex dynamics of the global trade of sugar and maple.

He is chairman of the Canadian Sugar Institute board (Toronto) and a  Board member of Lantic Inc. (Vancouver) and World Sugar Research Organization (London, England). He has served on the Board of Vestcor Inc. (formerly New Brunswick Investment Management Corporation) since 2005. During this time, he was a member of various Board subcommittees, was chairperson from 2013 to 2023 and will stay actively involved as a Board member until  the end of his term in 2024.

Mike has lived in Quispamsis his entire life and enjoys spending his free time with family and boating on the Kennebecasis river.
