Leona is a Project and Data Manager for the Research Services Team at Horizon Health Network. She supports the portfolio of Health System Impact Studies which evaluate the impact of emerging or innovative interventions on health system processes with the goal of improving health care delivery for patients. Leona completed a Master of Public Health from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and later obtained a Certificate in Project Management from UBC Sauder School of Business. She also holds a Bachelor of Science, Honours in Chemistry and Minor in Mathematics from UBC Okanagan.

Prior to joining Horizon, Leona worked as a Recruitment, Engagement and Retention Project Manager at the Alzheimer’s Therapeutic Research Institute at the University of Southern California where she managed centralized recruitment and retention efforts for research studies including a global clinical trial.

With keen interests in both public health and project management, Leona strives to bring her analytical thinking, attention to detail, organization, and past research experiences to help achieve Horizon’s goals of improving health care delivery through research and innovation.
