Jacquelyn is the Director of the Human Research Protection Program for Horizon Health Network in New Brunswick. She built her research career beginning as a clinical trials nurse working on numerous regulated clinical trials in infectious disease, respiratory and cardiology.  This position started her on the path to research administration within Horizon in 2003 and in 2018, under her leadership, Horizon Health Network established its Human Research Protection Program (HRPP). In March 2020 Horizon became the first regional health authority in Canada to have its HRPP accredited. Jacquelyn received her Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of New Brunswick, Saint John, is a certified Information Privacy Professional and a certified leadership facilitator for Horizon’s leadership development program. She is currently a member of the Accreditation Council for Human Research Accreditation Canada and of the Human Research Standards Organization (HRSO). Jacquelyn was the leader of HRSO’s technical committee that developed the first national research standard in Canada on the development of human research protection program which was published in 2021.
