Dr. James Michael Medical OncologistOncologySaint John Area Dr. James Michael completed his medical degree at Memorial University in Newfoundland. He subsequently completed his Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology training at Dalhousie University. Dr. Michael has been a Medical Oncologist at the Saint John Regional Hospital since 2016. He has an interest in medical education; being a Professional Competency I tutor at Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick (DMNB) since 2017 and the Saint John medical oncology education lead since 2019. Dr. Michael is active in clinical trials research as both a principal investigator and sub-investigator. Dr. Michael also serves on a number of local, national and international committees including: the New Brunswick Lung Cancer Screening Advisory Committee, the Canadian Association of Medical Oncologists’ Membership Committee and the North American Neuroendocrine Tumour Society’s Guidelines Committee. He also participates as a Clinical Expert for new oncology drug reviews with the Canadian Drug Agency.
