Dr. Gurpreet Singh Ranger Clinical Department HeadDepartment of Pediatrics & Department of General SurgeryUpper River Valley Area Dr. Gurpreet Singh Ranger is a general and colorectal surgeon at Horizon’s Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville. He originally qualified from the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy’s and St. Thomas’ hospitals in London, England, and underwent surgical and research training in London, Oxford, and Colchester, as well as spending some time in Vancouver. He came to the Upper River Valley Hospital in 2014 after holding a position as a consultant surgeon in the United Kingdom. At that time, he was immediately aware of the wonderful opportunities that the province had to offer, both professionally and personally, and he is very proud to call New Brunswick home. Nowhere else in the world can quite match the hospitality and support of New Brunswickers that both he and his family have experienced since coming to Canada. Dr. Singh Ranger feels delighted and honoured to be able to contribute towards the health of New Brunswickers, and to be given the opportunity to become chief of staff for the facility. In his free time, Dr. Singh Ranger likes to experience what New Brunswick has to offer, including its wonderful trails and coastal areas, as well as spending time with his young family.
