Horizon hospitals to retain normal operations for National Day of Mourning

HORIZON – Horizon will be observing the National Day of Mourning on Monday, Sept. 19 while continuing to offer safe and quality care to patients.

Horizon wishes to advise the public that hospitals will continue with regular operations, and that all appointments, surgeries and services WILL proceed on the holiday Monday.

Anyone with questions about their appointment or surgery is asked to contact the applicable department or their care team for more information.

While hospital operations will remain as normal, Horizon-operated health centres and community-based programming will be closed on Monday for this ‘one-time-only’ federal and provincial holiday being held in memory of Queen Elizabeth II.

Health centres and community programming will reopen during regular hours on Tuesday, Sept. 20.
