Sarah is an early career researcher with special interests in patient engagement, equitable access, and qualitative methods. Since beginning her career, Sarah has sought and pursued EDI initiatives to improve access to healthcare, research, and clinical trials, which led her to becoming co-chair on the Network of Networks Public Engagement Committee. Here she has worked on creating resources to improve diversity in research and presenting these findings at various conferences. As a research coordinator for the Maritime SPOR SUPPORT Unit, Sarah supports patient-oriented research through planning, implementing, and sharing research projects. Sarah has been involved in a number of research from breastfeeding support to oncology survivorship trials, and is excited about the opportunities for learning that her role provides.
