Central booking phone number for blood and specimen collection in Saint John and surrounding areas changing Oct. 26

(SAINT JOHN) – The central booking phone number for blood and specimen collection appointments in the Saint John and surrounding areas is changing on Monday, Oct. 26.  

To book, cancel, or reschedule an appointment, patients will call 1-833-482-0774. This updated phone number applies to appointments at the following hospitals and facilities:

• Saint John Regional Hospital
• St. Joseph’s Hospital (Saint John)
• Kennebecasis Valley Health Services
• Sussex Health Centre
• Charlotte County Hospital

Appointment bookings at all other hospitals and facilities in the Saint John and surrounding areas will continue to use the existing phone numbers.

This new system, which was introduced in the Fredericton and Upper River Valley area earlier this year, utilizes AI technology and will allow patients to seamlessly book, cancel, or reschedule their appointments instantly, 24/7. It’s linked with online booking, making the process smoother for both patients and Horizon staff.

There will be no impact to previously booked appointments, and patients will not have to rebook them.

Market Place Wellness Centre

In addition, Horizon wishes to advise patients the Market Place Wellness Centre’s booking phone number will also be changing on Oct. 26. Those looking to book blood and specimen collection appointments at the Market Place Wellness Centre can call 506-632-5636.

This clinic, which offers specimen collection on Mondays and Tuesdays, will continue to book appointments by phone. Patients can call and leave a message, and staff will contact them to book an appointment. Online booking is not available at this location.
