Horizon’s online self-booking tool for Women’s Health Centre appointments starts now available March 16, 2026 Innovative tool will help support patient-centred, data-informed approach to care delivery (HORIZON) – Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is excited to announce that patients can visit horizonnb.ca/book to book their Women’s Health Centre appointments online. Located at Horizon’s St. Joseph’s Hospital in Saint John, patients can self-refer, or health care providers can use this tool to book their patients’ appointments on their behalf. Self-Booking appointments are available most Thursdays at St. Joseph’s Hospital between 8:30 and 2 p.m. for: Pap tests Family planning Period concerns Vulvar concerns Post menopausal bleeding This is an expansion of our X-ray, specimen collection, and ECG online self-booking systems that streamline the booking process for both patients and staff. “We’re very excited to continue our expansion of this easy and modern self-booking tool to include Women’s Health Centre appointments,” said Christa Wheeler-Thorne, Horizon’s Clinical Executive Director, Women and Children’s Health. “This initiative not only helps us provide a more positive and people-centred care experience by empowering patients to book and access the care they need, when they need it, it provides important access to primary women’s health care like pap tests for cervical cancer screening and family planning.” Patients can call 506-632-5454 to book an appointment if they do not have access to an online device. To cancel or reschedule an appointment, patients can click the link in their confirmation email or call the Centre directly. This online tool will help reduce the number of missed appointments.
