Gina Spear-Burrows

Registered Nurse

Gina has been with Horizon for over 38 years, with a focus in Oncology and Clinical trials for much of her career. She loves to tell people it is her dream job working as the lead nurse of Stay Strong as she has the opportunity each week to help cancer patients get their life back after treatment. Gina shares that being an athlete and being passionate about motivating others to live an active lifestyle, “makes the perfect fit for my present position.”

“The program is more than an exercise program,” Gina expresses. “The Stay Strong Program helps patients get their life back after cancer not only physically but mentally and emotionally and provides the tools to move forward.”

As a lifelong athlete, she enjoys motivating others to lead an active lifestyle. Gina’s biggest athletic accomplishment was placing fourth in her division in her first Hawaii Ironman World Championships in 2011. This past winter, she qualified in Spain for the Gravel Worlds in The Netherlands. Gina is a passionate competitor, always on the move attaining personal, athletic and professional accomplishments.
