Dr. Robert Thompson Radiation OncologistOncologySaint John Area Dr. Robert Thompson is a Radiation Oncologist practicing in Saint John, NB. After completing a BSc in Physics at Acadia University, he received his Medical Degree from Dalhousie University and then completed a residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Toronto at the Princess Margaret and Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centres. He then completed a fellowship at Sunnybrook, specializing in Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT) and Prostate Brachytherapy. His Radiation Oncology clinical practice focus is on patients with Genitourinary (including Prostate, Bladder, and Testicular), Thoracic (Lung, Esophageal), and Gastrointestinal Malignancies, as well as Spine Metastases (SBRT). Dr. Thompson is the local Principal Investigator for a number of multi-centre clinical trials run through the Canadian Cancer Trials Group and NRG Oncology (USA).
