Selena coordinates the Saint John Regional Hospital Tumour Bank (SJRHTB), a biobank funded by the Terry Fox Research Institute’s Marathon of Hope Cancer Centres Network. The SJRHTB stores biospecimens for future researchers to utilize for precision medicine research as part of the Atlantic Canada Biobank Consortium. Her primary focus includes participant recruitment and informed consent, collaborating with hospital personnel, and facilitating biobanking best practices. 

Selena holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of New Brunswick. In recent years, she has gained valuable experience working as a research assistant on projects involving healthy aging in New Brunswick, with focuses on frailty education as well as hospital pharmacist-led transitions of care. As a member of the Saint John MSSU team, Selena may lend her expertise to prospective patient-oriented research initiatives.
