Public Service Announcement: Horizon’s The Moncton Hospital asking public reserve Emergency Department for emergencies March 11, 2021 (MONCTON) – With major water damage impacting Emergency Department operations at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, ambulances are being diverted to Horizon’s The Moncton Hospital (TMH). Because of this situation, Horizon is urging members of the public to only visit the TMH Emergency Department if they require emergency care. Please reserve the Emergency Department for medical emergencies. Patients with non-urgent medical issues may experience long wait times if they present to the Emergency Department as we prioritize the sickest and most vulnerable patients We encourage you to visit SoWhyWait.ca for more information about other health care options available in the Moncton area. Thank you for your cooperation. – 30 – For more information contact: Kris McDavidMedia Relations1-877-499-1899Media@HorizonNB.cawww.HorizonNB.ca
