PSA: Temporary Closure of Emergency Department at Horizon’s Sackville Memorial Hospital April 16, 2021 (SACKVILLE) – The Emergency Department at Horizon’s Sackville Memorial Hospital (SMH) will temporarily close for the following evening and night shifts: Saturday, April 17 – 4 p.m. to Sunday to April 18 at 8 a.m.Sunday, April 18 – 4 p.m. to Monday to April 19 at 8 a.m. Due to a temporary nursing shortage, the Emergency Department will not be seeing patients and clients during these shifts and ambulances will be diverted to other hospitals. Horizon’s Sackville Memorial Hospital Emergency Department will be open during the day shift on Sunday, April 18 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. All patients and clients requiring urgent medical care will need to seek treatment at another hospital. As always, patients who have a medical emergency should call 911. Patients can call Tele-Care 811 if they have any questions about the type of medical attention they need.
