Horizon seeks support to eliminate no-shows at vaccination appointments June 1, 2021 (HORIZON) – As more New Brunswickers are eligible to receive the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, we need to work together to ensure everyone has access to appointments. We are working toward a target of 75 per cent of New Brunswickers 12 and over having received their first dose by June 7. Residents are eager to receive their vaccine and, in some cases, are double-booking their vaccination appointment. When taking the first appointment available, their additional appointment is not automatically cancelled. Please remember to book only one appointment, and if you do book more, cancel the appointment you no longer need. Everyone has a role to play in the fight against COVID-19. By cancelling an appointment you no longer need, you are providing access for other New Brunswickers awaiting their vaccine. You can book your appointment at a Horizon vaccination clinic by visiting gnb.ca/BookaVaccine. If you have received your first dose and need to cancel a duplicate appointment you can also do so at gnb.ca/COVID19Vaccine or by contacting your pharmacy. We have availability today at our Sussex and St. Stephen clinics for residents to get their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Thank you for doing your part and working to ensure New Brunswick is on the path to green. – 30 – For more information contact: Kris McDavidMedia Relations1-877-499-1899media@horizonnb.cahorizonnb.ca/news
