Welcome to Horizon, Marwa and Joe! March 20, 2023 We would like to introduce Marwa and Joe, Internationally Educated Nurses on the neuroscience floor at Horizon’s Saint John Regional Hospital. Originally from Egypt, they recently moved to Canada and chose Saint John as their new home to raise their family. Having lived in cities on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, they felt Saint John would look familiar, and they weren’t disappointed. “We chose nursing because we can understand people’s conditions by putting ourselves in their shoes and understanding their feelings,” said Marwa. “Registered nurses provide extraordinary care for patients, not only physically but emotionally as well.” They love that they can advocate for their patients while also working to help improve health care through research. “We want to make sure we’re providing the care for our patients.” We are happy to welcome Marwa and Joe to our team!
