Horizon’s look back at 2021 December 30, 2021 How can we possibly recap 2021? It was a year of ups and downs, highs and lows, love and loss. New Brunwickers lived through an entire calendar year of the COVID-19 pandemic, where the only constant was change. We’re coming out the other side stronger and more thankful than ever for our dedicated staff and physicians and the people in our communities. During 2021, we provided you with A LOT of information and we welcomed many new followers on our social channels and website users. In fact, over 1.3 million of you visited our website, recording over 4 million pageviews! At Horizon, we strive to share the information you need to be informed and up to date. Thank you for trusting us to provide you with reliable and accurate information. It was another year where COVID-19 dominated our channels, but there was plenty of other content you enjoyed. Our Point of Care Tests (POCT) page quickly became a favourite. Video: Horizon surgeon leads new neurosurgery technique to improve outcomes for patients with brain tumours Horizon’s Dr. Dhany Charest, Chief of Neurosurgery at Horizon’s The Moncton Hospital, took us inside the operation room. Website and social media: Nurse recruitment In the fall, we launched a Canadian-wide nurse recruitment campaign to encourage nurses and internationally educated nurses to consider working in New Brunswick.You had a chance to meet some of Horizon’s newest graduate nurses, on our website and social channels.The campaign is still in market inspiring nurses in search of real connection with the community, a change in scenery, an adventure, and a new place to call home to consider New Brunswick.
