Dr. Erica Frecker Clinical Department HeadDepartment of Obstetrics and GynecologyFredericton AreaBSc, MD, FRCSC Originally from Newfoundland, Dr. Erica Frecker began working in Fredericton in 2007. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Philosophy from the University of King’s College in Halifax, and obtained her medical degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ont., before graduating from the Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program at Dalhousie University. A Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (Obstetrics and Gynecology), Dr. Frecker practices medicine in English and French, and her academic interests are in minimally invasive gynecology and the treatment of placenta accreta spectrum disorder. Dr. Frecker has served on the Baby-Friendly Initiative committee, the Midwifery Council of New Brunswick, and as the provincial Obstetrics and Gynecology representative to the New Brunswick Medical Society. She is also a founding board member of L’Arche Fredericton, a community committed to sharing the gifts of adults with intellectual disabilities.
